T H E   R U L E S

GENERAL

• Kindness is a main factor. Treat others with respect and remember that we are all here to have fun.

• A character application must be posted within two weeks of joining the board, otherwise the account will be deleted. If you need more time please speak to an admin.

• If you need to leave for a period of time please post in the appropriate board or inform a staff member.

• Always respect the staff and other members. It's okay to be sarcastic every now and then but too much of it can become a problem. 

• Please refrain from discussing Religion, Politics and Sexual Orientation in the cbox/OOC area. We understand and acknowledge that everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, however, sometimes silence is golden. If you want to speak your opinions about these subjects please go to the appropriate forum. This rule is to prevent fights because, as we all know, these are hot topics of discussion.

• We would also appreciate if you don't spend your whole time in the chat box, keep in mind that you are here to roleplay and it's not nice to keep others waiting for a long time.

APPLYING

• You can register with whatever name you wish but once a character is accepted his/her first and last name must be used if they have one.

• Use the provided application template.

• Do not forget to reserve face claims if you are working on an application. If you forget to reserve something and someone else reserves it and/or applies and finishes before you, they will get that face claim. All reservations on the site last for up to two weeks.

• Once the application has been submitted, please DON’T send messages to the admins about acceptance. Like you, we have real lives to attend to, so be patient and wait at least 48 hours before catching an admin’s attention. PLEASE be polite in doing so. PMs, as opposed to personal Emails, are preferred.

• If you receive a message from an admin to modify your application, you have up to ten days to do so.

CHARACTERS

• Please try to avoid taking two characters that are very close in plots canon-wise. 

• Please do not make Gary Stus and Mary Sues. Your character can have incredibly good morals and a sweet personality, but make sure you have significant flaws. This helps to keep things interesting.

• Real life FC's are required for this board but for some characters of different species, digital drawings and pictures are more than welcomed to be used. The admins have final say in whether it works for the site or not.

ROLEPLAYING

• All levels of experience are accepted, as long as the person in question can post at least two decent paragraphs. Our goal is to aim for 300 words, while that isn't a written in stone requirement, it's a goal we ask people to aim for. If you miss it and fall short, no sweat. The main point is to give the other player something to work with.

• Always reply in third person, keep in mind you're not writing your own diary. And NO slang language, such as IM chat words or acronyms, except where appropriate (text and IM threads).

• When you're character is speaking use quotation marks (" "), and for thoughts use Italic.

• Godmodding is FORBIDDEN.

RATING

• This site is PG-13. We only allow members thirteen years of age and older, and we also keep the content suitable for thirteen years of age and up. This is proboards rule.
